Frequently asked questions

What is this questionnaire for?

It helps a business owner work out what job a website needs to do before OZE prepares a proposal. You get a recommendation at the end. If you choose to send it, Colin can use the answers as a briefing.

Is this a quiz? Do I get a score?

No. There are no right answers and no numerical score. It is a short conversation about the business, customers and what should happen after someone visits the site.

How long does it take?

About five to eight minutes. You can go back and change answers. An accidental refresh will not wipe your progress on this device.

What happens to my answers?

The recommendation is shown to you immediately on this device. If you send it, Colin receives a brief and a copy is emailed to you, including your answers. They are not published and are not mixed into community survey statistics.

Will this quote me a price?

You will see an indicative investment range based on estimated labour, not a quotation and not an offer. Colin reviews the answers before anyone confirms scope or price. When we ask what a new customer is worth, we mean profit — sale price minus direct cost, not overhead. A calculated figure only becomes an offer after Colin has reviewed it.

What is an Online Estimate?

An Online Estimate is calculated immediately from information the customer supplies on the website. It is indicative only — useful for seeing whether the job is broadly within budget and for sending a qualified enquiry. A human still checks the information, photos, assumptions and any site-specific issues. Only after that review does it become a confirmed project price or order. OZE does not market an automatic calculation as a guaranteed fixed quote unless the business rules genuinely support that. ShadeSale at https://shadesale.au/ is the working demonstration of the pattern: customer information → indicative price → qualified enquiry → human review. It is a shade-sail estimator, not an air-conditioning calculator. The same pattern can apply to a split-system enquiry: room dimensions, environment, preferred system if known, indoor and outdoor unit positions, installation distance, access or storey, and photos, returning an indicative installed range for the installer to check.

Can I keep a copy?

Yes. Print the recommendation, the indicative range and your answers (the page includes a link and QR code for oze.au). If you send the result to Colin, the same pack is emailed to you.
